goals

What I want for my art is to improve my large sculptures, welding, and find more old doors.  My goal in life is to enter into arts and try to win, also get some of my pieces in art galleries.  First I will enter my art metal pieces and sculpture in many local shows as I can as well call up small local galleries show pictures of my work see if they are interested in selling them.

merchants of death

My best piece is merchants of death.  I know it is not a modern issue but I think it still has resonance.  I chose the picture to be simple black and white so the skulls, bones, and bone art will pop out of the photos.  Its states or death and suffering they have cause as well as their leadership that allowed torture.

Because I was born with MHE or multiple hereditary exostoses, bones have influences my entire life.  So a lot of my art deals with bones, human anatomy, and pain.   My life as well as my humor can be dark and macabre at times.  What I learned in psychology that the simple act of smiling can have a huge effect on your emotions, so I decided to write a children book on a skull try to smile.  The only problem I have with the book is background color washes out the text.  The illustrations are simple but sometimes simple art can be effective.
